Yesterday was the coldest day of the year since far, and I don’t hold anything a vehicle does when it’s super cold or super warm against it. But you see...there’s this squeak.
I couldn’t find the squeak to photograph it.
Rattles don’t bug me so much, mainly because they’re easier to find. But the Cruiser has developed a squeak that sounds like it’s everywhere inside the truck all at once. I’m confident it’s in the front, but it sounds like it’s behind me when I’m driving...until I turn my head, then it sounds like it’s up by the dashboard.
I’ll have to have my dad drive it around a shitty parking lot, hitting all the bumps while I crawl around the inside of the truck listening. I’m gonna find that squeak if it kills me.

My Lexus is the same way. In the summer, super quiet, no squeaks and 1 rattle. Yesterday when I got in it and it was 12 degrees, it sounded like a late 90-mid 00's GM car.

Preach to the choir, the Mercedes is doing some weird ass stuff if I have to start it below freezing. The engine doesn’t sound sound or feel right, the transmission is jerking around, and it wiggles and jiggles down the road like the suspension is made of rubber bands.

Fun fact. The last district I worked in was so cheap, they bought hundreds of Dell computers with ball mice ... in 2008. They must’ve saved literally dozens of dollars.

It’s probably leather, are any of your seats up? Alternatively, take everything out of the center and door pockets. I find my squeaks are usually stuff in the cruiser or leather

The rears are up and I’ve got a car seat in the middle. It’s weird, it’s a real nail-on-chalkboard sort of squeak.

I like it, and I like that dog.

I stuffed my Outback into a snowbank yesterday looking for a cold weather rattle in the dash.

When it’s cold (like, currently), my glovebox latch squeaks on every bump, turn, and seam.
